A lack of focus on your task, and no longer term plan, means you will not reach your goals.
As a freelancer you have to be self motivated. You have to get your project done, otherwise you don’t get paid.
But you also need to think longer term.
What do you want to be doing in 2 years? What are your goals?
Whatever they are, to reach your goals you need two types of focus.
1) The current job. Getting it done to a high standard and in good time.
2) Focus on the longer term. Stick your goals on the wall. Write them on your forehead. Whatever you need to do to stay on track.
Take on projects that are going to lead you towards your goals. Then focus deeply on every task of every project.
